Academy Day Care School is an enrichment-based program open to dogs 6 months and older. The program is designed for your dog to have fun, yet with set boundaries and direction so your dog learns appropriate social behavior. Academy Day School includes group and individual training. We work on manners and fundamental cues, as well as building confidence and body awareness— all while enjoying enriching games and challenges! The Academy Day School has a Limited Enrollment!
Academy Day School is a supplement to, and not a substitute for, an on-going Obedience or Performance training program for you and your dog. It is Recommended that You participate in group training classes or private lessons.
What happens at Day School?
- Individual and Group Fundamental Training – May include: Socialization, Familiarization and Acclimation to sights/sounds/surfaces and proper manners when interacting with dogs and humans.
- Monitored play time, where appropriate, depending on the individual dog to ensure proper play and social interactions with other dogs. Play time is strictly monitored to ensure everyone is respectful of boundaries.
- Your dog will be working with a trainer, not just a dog handler. Human interaction will consist of foundation training, body awareness, confidence building and enrichment-based exercises – all with Positive Reinforcement training!
Academy Day School is Great for:
- The shy or insecure dog that gets overwhelmed in large play groups.
- Dog owners who would prefer their dogs be mentally challenged in a more personal controlled environment.
The Academy ADULT Day Care School is ONLY offered on Monday's and Wednesday's.
Academy Day School Hours and Drop Off and Pick Up:
Morning Session - 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Morning Session Drop Off, between 7:30-8:00 AM
- Morning Session Pick Up, between 12:00-12:30 PM
Afternoon Session - 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Afternoon Session Drop Off, between 12:30-1:00 PM
- Afternoon Session Pick Up, between 5:00-5:30 PM
PLEASE NOTE EVALUATION REQUIREMENT: All dogs require an evaluation before they attend the Academy Day School Program. This is for the safety of your dog and all other dogs in the program. The evaluation costs $50 and must be scheduled before your dog can be registered to attend the Program. Evaluation is 2 hours in length. Dogs are to be Dropped off for the Evaluation. Owner may not be present.
Neutering/Spay
Dogs are not required to be spayed/neutered to be in the program. However, after 8 months we reserve the right to excuse or move dogs for the benefit of the group – females in heat will be excused for the duration of their cycle.

Puppy Academy Day School

Congratulations on your New Puppy!
The Puppy Academy Day School is a full-day, two days a week program exclusively for puppies age 10 weeks – 24 weeks.
- The program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will confirm your puppy's start date in your confirmation email.
- Class size is limited to 8 puppies in order to ensure each puppy gets the individual attention they need.
- Your puppy will be working with Positive Reinforcement Trainer(s) during their time at our Puppy Academy.
Puppy Academy Day School is a supplement to, and not a substitute for, an on-going obedience training program for you and your dog. It is recommended that you and your dog participate in ongoing training classes or in private training lessons.
At Treasured Canine Academy we do not promote or permit the use of correction-based training tools for the dogs enrolled in our training programs. This includes the use of choke collars, slip leads, prong collars, and/or shock/bark collars.
Tuition Cost:
- $550 for one month of Puppy Day School (8 Sessions).
- $1000 for two months (16 Sessions).
- $1500 for three months (24 Sessions).
Tuition for this program includes:
- Tuesday and Thursday day school for 4, 8, or 12 weeks (respectively)
What your puppy will learn and do:
- Socialization, Acclimation and Enrichment are key for young puppies. We will introduce your puppy to new sounds, sights, smells, textures, dogs and people in a safe, and positive manner.
- Foundation sessions working on skills and behaviors in our curriculum such as leash manners, polite greetings, focusing with other dogs around and introduction to recalls and more!
- Supervised play time. Playtime with other puppies that are appropriate for your puppy depending on your puppy's preferences and play skills.
- Nap time. A whole morning of playing and training is too much for almost every dog. Nap time ensures your dog has the best experience possible.
**Proof of vaccinations are required before your Puppy can attend school.
For Puppies 8-12 weeks: DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus) + Bordetella.
For puppies 12 -16 weeks: DHPP + Bordetella
For puppies over 16 weeks, and all adult dogs: DHPP + Bordetella + Rabies
**Please submit a copy of all current vaccine records at least 72 hours prior to your session, and a record of any updated vaccines during your enrollment period.
***Please note: Puppies should not be brought to Puppy Academy Day School if they exhibit any of the following: fever, cough, diarrhea, vomiting, open wounds, lethargic, and/or are limping.
We strongly recommend that any puppies enrolled in our Puppy Academy Day School do not attend another Dog Day Care and/or Dog Park for the duration of your sessions.

- The school day runs from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, with drop off between 8:30 and 9:00 am and pick up between 4:00 and 4:30 pm.
- Early drop off / late pick up is available for an additional fee.
